3. Great Books I Read This Week-
I know everyone & their dog has been talking about this book (and movie), so I read it to see what all the hub-bub was about. There's good reason for hub-bub. Even if you're not a teenager, I think you should probably still read this book.
I can't remember where I heard about this book, but I recently requested it from my local library & it came in yesterday. Today, while getting an allergy injection, I plowed through this graphic novel/short story anthology. This is good. Damn good.
I may have also read everything on Emily Carroll's website & every single blog she's written. If you are a fan of horror, fairy tales, amazing art or just good writing, check Emily Carroll out.
This book is beautiful. The art is beautiful and the story, while hard to read at times, is beautiful as well. If you're looking for something real & straight forward, check out This One Summer by Jillian Tamaki & Mariko Tamaki.
4. Abigail Halpin-
I know that I've posted about Abigail Halpin before (here & here), but I just loved this little illustration (inspired by a Shakey Graves tune) she posted on her blog this week. Perfection.
