31 Days of Halloween: Victorian Cut-out Theater

Today, I am proud to feature my brother from the same mother on the Thrift Archives!
We were performing a play my brother, Rob, wrote for Thanksgiving. I was a turkey, apparently.
Aside from being my brother, Rob Walker is a Colorado based writer and animator. Rob has been dreaming and creating for as long as I can remember. After heading up several projects and theater groups in college, Rob and two friends formed Cigarette Burn Pictures in 2004 and worked together until 2010. He then created Rob Walker Films in 2013, a one-man studio specializing in writing, animation and video shorts. In addition to animating, Rob spends his time writing scripts and working on his blog. Rob is also a staff writer for the pop culture website Nerd Reactor.

Many people might know Rob from his Animated Monologues series on Youtube (One of my favorites, by the way!), but he is probably most well known for the Victorian Cut-out Theater series, presented by Cinevore Studios

This month's VCT episode fits nicely with our Halloween theme here on the Thrift Archives and I am proud to share it with you! Victorian Cut-out Theater combines all things Victorian with Rob's keen and sometimes dark sense of humor and antique wood etchings to create something truly amazing! In addition, it has gothic, steampunk & romantic elements that any literary fans will love! Cinevore says this of VCT: "Monty-Python meets steampunk in this bizarre and hilarious web series set in a twisted version of the Victorian era". In my humble opinion, VCT has something for everyone and I would even go so far as to say that every episode could be watched as a Halloween treat. Now, please enjoy the October episode, "The Things of Man":

There you have it, folks! I have always admired my brother's talent, creativity and tenacity to go after what he wants. There is no doubt in my mind that I will see his name in lights in the very near future. For other shorts & goodies, head on over to his site & his youtube channel! Tell him the Thrift Archives sent you!

Happy Wednesday, Friends!
