While I would love to go to the festival in full medieval costume, it's so expensive to put together an authentic full costume. Also, it's usually 80+ degrees out there & the idea of wearing layer-upon-layer of fabric makes me hot-angry. In honor of the occasion, I've put together a renaissance festival styling. For something like this, I would usually troll the thrift stores looking for pieces that fit the theme. You could wear one piece for a subtle medieval look or an entire outfit for the full look.
American Eagle Outfitters square neck top / Brown faux leather corset / Yves Saint Laurent peplum blouse / Gypsy blouse, $26 / Brocade Steel Boned Underbust Corset / Tasha Polizzi black skinny legging / Marc Jacobs colorful print legging, $73 / Black chiffon maxi skirt / Steve Madden strappy flat sandals / Isaac Mizrahi zipper riding boots / Alexander McQueen 100 leather belt / Long pleated skirt
Have you ever been to the Colorado Renaissance Festival or something like it? Did you go in costume? I would love to hear about your experience!
