Colorado Renaissance Festival 2015 Styling

Rick & I are heading to the Colorado Renaissance Festival today for the final day of the festival for the 2015 season. The Colorado Ren Fest is the the largest stationary renaissance festival in the U.S. I've been attending this event since I was in middle school & even as an adult, I still think it's one of my favorite summer time activities.

While I would love to go to the festival in full medieval costume, it's so expensive to put together an authentic full costume. Also, it's usually 80+ degrees out there & the idea of wearing layer-upon-layer of fabric makes me hot-angry. In honor of the occasion, I've put together a renaissance festival styling. For something like this, I would usually troll the thrift stores looking for pieces that fit the theme. You could wear one piece for a subtle medieval look or an entire outfit for the full look.
