Weekend Wrap-Up #2

On Friday morning, I went to Pets N' Popsicles with a friend and her two kiddos. This was my first visit to Centennial Village, "an 8 acre living history museum that allows visitors to experience what Northern Colorado was like 100 years ago".

Although I didn't get to see the entire grounds (we only paid for the section the animals were in), I did get some lovely shots of the vintage architecture, animals and costumed staff. What a fun way to spend Friday morning!

Later that evening, Rick and I headed out to a Disney themed party and, of course, costumes were involved! After leaving the party, my friend,Natalie and I headed down to the High Plains Chautauqua to catch the last performance of the night.

On Saturday morning, we hit the local farmer's market and picked up some enormous dill, pickling cucumbers and a watermelon. We hit a few yard sales in downtown Greeley and then we headed to our weekly art group, held at John Galt Coffee. Later that afternoon (after a nap), we headed to Fort Collins with my brother & sister-in-law. Rick had won a gift certificate to Jerry's Art-O-Rama a few months back and it had been burning a hole in his wallet ever since. After buying a new sketchbook and a few new pens, we decided to check out a local game & coffee shop, The Haunted Game Cafe. While we didn't have time to play any of the MANY games they have available to play for free, we will definitely have to go back on another day.

Sunday morning, we used a gift certificate to our favorite local french cafe, Cafe Panache, and they just happened to be having a huge yard sale behind the shop! How did they know we were coming!? ;)
