Back To School Shopping for the Non-Student: Fashion Edition

Now, it has been a good, long while since I had a first day of school. However, this time of year, the back-to-school spirit just catches me.

I'm struck by the memory of my mama taking my brother & I to the mall in Grand Junction for a late-summer shopping trip. We'd get to stay in a hotel and swim for hours and eat out at restaurants we didn't have near our home town.

I loved those trips.

We wouldn't get a ton of new clothes, but a few pieces were such a treat. Now that I'm an adult, there are very few instances that re-create that kind of excitement. Here is a little back-to-school dream shopping to get myself through the fall. Just a collection of a few things that adult Kimberly and school-aged Kimberly would be in total agreement on.

I guess some things never change.
