Thrifting Thursday: Estate Sale Surprise

On his ride to work this morning, Rick saw a sign for an estate sale at 25th avenue & 14th street. He texted me and told me he wanted to check it out at lunch. What a find! 

The entire house was full of vintage lamps, dishes, linens, dresses, kids toys and so much more! Every room of the house was positively full of treasures and a company named Sorting Hands was running the show. They were very well staffed and extremely helpful! 

We only had about 10 minutes to look around, so we only walked away with a lamp ($10) & two tin plates (2 for $1), but one of the gals running the sale told us that tomorrow afternoon they will start marking things down and everything will be 50% off on Saturday. We just might have to visit them again this weekend!

Sometimes the best estate sale you've ever been to doesn't jump out at you while driving around on a Saturday. Sometimes the best estate sale surprises you mid-week and you just make time to go because who knows what treasures you'll stumble upon!
