Morgenstern has an amazing descriptive power that completely immerses the reading into the world of The Night Circus. While reading, I was able to visualize the costumes & characters so clearly that the visual aspect became almost as important as the plot.
Now, if you've been around here for long, you know that I love costumes that can masquerade as every day clothes. Thankfully, The Night Circus lends itself very well to this type of neurosis. Even I would have some trouble wearing full circus attire, but if we use a black, white & red color palette, we can achieve a festive, yet appropriate aesthetic.
“The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not.”
