This year we attended two of our good friend's pumpkin carving party for the first time! Part of the tradition is heading out to a local pumpkin patch and picking your very own pumpkins. None of that store bought business! Instead of heading out to the usual pumpkin patch, which was deemed too over-priced, we tried out a new patch that none of us had been to, but had received good reviews.
Pumpkin Pickin' Paradise, located in Milliken, CO, lives up to the hype. The patch is small but full of great choices! They have pumpkins & gourds of all shapes, sizes, colors and price points. You can pick up a little, red wagon up at the front gate to carry all of your pumpkin loot or give a kiddo a ride. The farm has food for purchase, including some of the best homemade pickles I have ever tasted! There is a little haunted house that isn't too scary and earlier in the season, they had a little maze, all of which is free.
And as if that wasn't enough, the grounds are absolutely beautiful.

If you're still in need of pumpkins for carving or decoration, give them a try! They will be open until 6pm on Halloween night or until they run out of pumpkins, though they still had plenty of choice picks when we were there on Saturday. They are a great local business and I think we will definately be visiting next year!
