4. Serpent d'ocean-
This giant sea serpent skeleton sculpture (try saying that five times fast!) , created by Huang Yong Ping, off the shore of the Loire River just outside of Nantes, France. Measuring nearly 425 feet in length the curving skeleton mirrors the curves of the nearby Saint-Nazaire bridge.
Not only do I think this would be absolutely terrifying upon first viewing, but I love that fact that the fate of this sculpture (made entirely out of aluminum) is left to the changing nature of the ocean. Beautiful.

Bonus: 1961 The Parent Trap
This is one of my favorite Haley Mills films (second only to Pollyanna) and the source of my deep regret that I never got to go to summer camp.
I know a lot of people from my generation love the Lindsey Lohan version, but this will always be the best, in my humble opinion.
Who couldn't love this opening sequence?
