In June Rick, Mama Destree, Papa Destree & I went on a two and a half week vacation that took us to a large portion of the U.S.
The first leg of the trip took us through three states; Colorado, Nebraska & Iowa.

There was a beautiful lake at the KOA campground that we stayed at. I saw fire flies for the very first time by this lake! |

The corn in Iowa is WAY bigger right now than it is here in Colorado. They know how to do corn, people. |

The first day of driving took us about 9.5 hours, and though there weren't any specific stops along the way, the difference between Colorado and Iowa was pretty drastic. The humidity alone was enough, but everything was so green there!
In the next few posts I plan on breaking our trip down for you all, stop-by-stop. While a few people have asked to see more of my pictures, I think writing a blog on each location/event will help me to organize my thoughts and memories.
I hope you enjoy my trip as much as I did!!
