Saturday was the first day of October & I felt especially festive! Rick & I decided to head out to our favorite, local pumpkin patch to have a peak around & pick up a few pumpkins & corn stalks for decoration.
Pumpkin Pickin' Paradise is located in Milliken, CO & is only a short fifteen minute drive from our house. It's free to walk around & take in the sights, so we generally go at least twice during the month to pick out decoration & carving pumpkins. Their pumpkin prices are fair & they do a great job with a small amount of space! They even have two walk-through haunted houses that are perfect for kids & adults who aren't into jump scares. We love the atmosphere & the mom & pop feel of the farm.
We also swung by a new Halloween store & I have to say, I was kind of disappointed. Unfortunately, it was mostly stocked with over priced ready-made costumes & low-quality decorations. It was still fun to poke around, even if we didn't find anything we couldn't live without!
We had a great first day of October & I can't WAIT for more spooky fun!
