1. March Playlist-
This might be one of my favorite monthly curated playlists that I've ever made! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
2. I Don't Know How I Missed This-
This came out almost a year ago, & I had yet to see it! I'm so glad I stumbled across this nostalgic gem! John Cryer will always remain the Duck-Man!
3. Serial Podcast Season 2-
If you didn't hear about Serial when season one started picking up momentum, you would have had to be living under a rock, frankly. It is quality journalism & radio at it's best. Season one, covering a murder mystery from the late 90's was a sleeper hit. It resonated with so many people and when it ended, it sort of left everyone asking, "Now what?"
Season 2 was announced and released at the end of 2015, and I knew there was no way they were going to match the level of success of season 1, but I was excited to see what the Serial team had to offer. I know some will disagree with me, but they didn't disappoint.
Season 2 follows the story of Bowe Bergdahl, the American Army sergeant who was captured by the Taliban & spent 5 years in captivity. He was rescued in 2014 but there is so much more to this story than meets the eye. To avoid spoilers, I'll just say this is a program you'll want to hear. This is a podcast that discusses the nature of war, American military & politics & the human condition.
Though it doesn't pull you in as quickly as season 1, it is definitely worth it! Season 2 is a slow burn that will get under your skin and, if you're like me, have you questioning a lot of what you believe about American military & politics Listen, enjoy & ponder. Trust me.
