Film Fashion: Margot Tenebaum & Faux Fur

It can't be denied. Fur is in right now.

Now, while I own my very own mink stole and cape (vintage & inherited from my grandmother), actually wearing it makes my stomach turn. While I certainly won't judge anyone else for wearing thrifted or vintage fur, it's just not for me. But I have to admit that the look of fur is sort of appealing to me & since I live in a climate that happens to get below 40 degrees in the winter, I might as well take advantage of it!

While perusing the racks of my local Goodwill last weekend, I spotted a gorgeous tan, long, wool belted coat with a lovely brown faux fur collar that called to me. It was a little out of my price range at the time and when I went back to get it at 50% off, someone else had (of course) snapped it up.

Since then, I have been thinking about all kinds of fur collars & fancy coats. I'm going to assume that it all goes back to one of my favorite Wes Anderson characters: Margot Tenenbaum.

What do you think of the fur trend? Is it for you or will you be happy when it passes in a season, as it most likely will? I would love to know what you think!
