5. The Roosevelts on PBS-
About three weeks ago I saw a promo for an upcoming miniseries PBS was showing about the Roosevelt family. Rick & I don't have cable, but I looked on the PBS website and they didn't disappoint.
This 14 hour Ken Burns film, narrated by Peter Coyote, chronicles the lives of Theodore, Eleanor & Franklin Roosevelt and the history of a country that they forever altered. Meryl Streep voices Eleanor, Paul Giammati voices Theodore & Edward Herman voices Franklin. I haven't finished all seven episodes, but what I've watched is fantastic. If you love history or excellent filmmaking, you need to check this out.
