Dreaming of Spring

Today as the snow piles down, I can't help but think of spring. Now, don't get me wrong! I am thankful for the moisture the snow brings (No wildfires this year, please!!) and the general coziness that comes from a short winter storm. There's nothing I love more than snuggling up by the fireplace to sit with the cats and work on some watercolors. I know it's only January and the worst of the winter is probably ahead of us. But as I think of putting on my heavy boots, jacket, wool hat and gloves to go pick Rick up from work, my mind wanders to sitting in the park right by our house on a lovely, Colorado spring day, reading a book or writing in my journal.

Even in the Colorado of my fantasy, I probably couldn't get away without wearing tights, but a girl can dream, can't she?
