On November 30th & December 1st, Rick and I will be participating in the 5th Annual Winter Indie Arts Market here in Greeley, and by doing so, we will be participating in Small Business Saturday. We are pretty excited! We haven't been a part of this particular craft show in several years and we're happy that we're going to get to hang out with so many talented folks from our region.

The last year we had a booth at the Indie Winter Arts Market. Workin' the booth, making jewelry. The usual. |

We had a lot of fun and can't wait to see how this year goes! The venue is bigger and there are more artists selling their wares, so all signs point to AWESOME! Now, you may be asking yourself what is this Small Business Saturday she mentioned? Well, it just so happens I found this handy infographic that explains it better than I ever could! FYI- The date on this particular infographic reflects
last year's Small Business Saturday date but the website will provide info for this year.
Small Business Saturday challenges us to spend one day out of the year buying exclusively from our small, local merchants. That toy store in your town's downtown district? Show them some love! Looking to buy some books for the voracious readers on your Christmas list? Hit up that locally-owned bookstore! It's that easy! Small Business Saturday is a nationally recognized event that anyone can participate in!
While Rick and I don't make a living off of our crafty endeavors, a lot of the artisans that will be at the Winter Arts Market do! As do a lot of those people you see selling their awesome stuff on Etsy or at festivals you might have attended this summer! And that makes them small business owners! These cool cats are putting food on their tables by doing what they love and I don't know about you, but I think that's pretty awesome!
If you live in Northern Colorado, I hope you'll stop by on November 30th or December 1st to check out what The Indie Winter Arts Market has to offer. Whether you're looking for some unique holiday gifts or you're looking to treat yourself, I think you'll find just what you need!
And if you don't live in the area, I hope you will participate in Small Business Saturday. It's something small that you can do to make a big impact in your very own community.
Oh, and expect an update after the craft fair! There will be lots of pictures to post, no doubt!
