We got our first real snow of the season on Friday night/morning. As I was lying in bed, just waking up, my eyes couldn't quite adjust to what I was seeing through the patio door. Could it be?

We really need to get our garage cleaned out so we can park our car in there! |

By that afternoon all the snow was melted, but it had snowed! I know that I won't be this excited by this crazy white stuff in February, so I'll take all the joy I can get now!
On Saturday night we went to a local corn maze and operational farm for some Halloween festivities!

This year's maze design |
Anderson Farms is a family run operation, located in Erie, Colorado. Farming since 1911 and corn mazing since 1999, The Anderson's family farm boasts the title of the first & longest running corn maze in Colorado. It is one of the best corn mazes I have ever attended and is fun for the whole family! One of my favorite activities is looking at the pumpkins! Anderson Farms sell
over 70 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds in all different shapes, colors & sizes! They have farm animals that you can pet and feed, peddle cars, a pumpkin canon and so much more! They also have a haunted maze, called Terror in the Corn, but I've never been in it. If the screams floating over the corn to the non-scary maze are any indication, it's probably pretty good!
Since I started dating my husband in 2009, I have truly enjoyed taking part in his family's yearly tradition of going to Anderson Farms in October. I truly can't imagine a Halloween season without our little trip!

The whole group, minus Austin, who was taking the picture. Just picture a goofy guy with a giant beard. |
If you live in my area and want to check it out, head on over to the Anderson Farms
website for the full skinny! If you don't live in my area, I urge you to find a farm in your area to check out. There really is nothing like getting lost in some corn!
