Munchy Monday- Pie! Pie! Me Oh My!

Anytime I make pie, I think of the song Andie McDowell sings in the film, 'Michael'. And when I say I think of it, I mean that I sing it the whole time I make the pie.

Pie
Pie
Me oh my
Nothing tastes sweet, wet, salty and dry
all at once so well as pie
Apple!
Pumpkin!
Minced
an' wet bottom.
I'll come to your place everyday if you've got em'
Pie
Me oh my
I love pie

It is true. I love pie. But I only recently started making my own pie. Why you ask? If I'm to be honest, I have to say that I am more than a little lazy when it comes to baking. I get nervous when a baked good recipe has more than five steps. But I love homemade, fresh baked pie. Quite the predicament  The answer is this, my favorite pie recipe. It is a total plus that this is a crumble pie.

I originally found this recipe on Pinterest, pinned from The Country Cook. But since the first time that I made it, following the directions to a tee, I have started tweaking things. Adding a bit of my own lazy style to this pie. I've made it with apples, of course.
I found these lovelies at my local farmer's market.  I'm ruined on store-bought apples for life!
I've made it with pears and peaches. I've added nuts to the crumble topping for some crunch and everything has turned out perfect which, in my opinion, signifies the mark of a great recipe! Sometimes I don't measure ingredients exactly (I'm a little like my grandma like that, I suppose) and this pie always tastes delicious! Seriously! I dare you to mess it up!
If you are looking for an awesome lazy pie crust, check out her Wham Bam Pie Crust post. It is seriously my favorite crust to make!
Do you have any lazy dessert recipe that I need to know about? If so, leave it in the comment section below. I would love to see it!
