OOTD: Handmade Khaki Dress & a Fly Brooch

I adore thrifting handmade dresses. It's so wonderful to wear something that somebody put so much heart & effort into & even though they're a complete stranger, I feel like we have something in common when I wear their dress. . Part of the reason that I love thrifting so much is that it's giving cast-off items new life & it's no different for this dress!

This khaki number is beyond perfection. It's light, cut well & makes me feel like a mix of Rizzo from Grease crossed with a boy scout. That's the perfect match if you ask me! I think my favorite thing about this dress is the lapel. It's the perfect shape & size to showcase a little brooch. What better than a golden fly!

When I first bought this pin, I thought it was a bee. When I realized it was actually a fly, I liked it even more! Now, I know what you're thinking. How many women want to wear a golden garbage scavenger on their lapel? Well, at least one, folks! This outfit will definitely stay in my dress rotation for the rest of this summer!
